Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11B

The 990 is emailed to all board members prior to the board meeting in which the 990 will be discuessed and approved. The 990 is on the agenda for the board meeting and approved prior to filing.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

All board members are required to sign a conflict of interest policy form and are made aware of the implications of related party transactions with the organization as a non-profit. All instances are investigated and brought before the executive committee for corrections if needed.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15

This past year the executive committee contracted with a consultant from the center for nonprofit management to assist with sac's search for a new ceo. The cnm consultant provided sac's executive committee with current data reflecting nonprofit salaries for ceo's. This data was used to review the salary of the current ceo and the incoming ceo. Sac management utilizes the nonprofit salary data provided annually by cnm to review the salaries of our employees.

Financial Statement Notes

PART V, LINE 4:

S.a.c. May use up to 5% of the endowment each year to fund general operating expenses of the organization. This 5% is calculated by averaging the year end balances over the past three years.

PART X, LINE 2:

The center is exempt from income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code and is not a private foundation. Accordingly, no provision for income tax has been made. The guidance prescribes a minimum probability threshold that a tax position must meet before a financial statement benefit is recognized. The minimum threshold is defined as a tax position that is more likely than not to be sustained upon examination by the applicable taxing authority, including resolution of any related appeals or litigation processes, based on the technical merits of the position. The tax benefit to be recognized is measured as the largest amount of benefit that is greater than 50% likely of being realized upon ultimate settlement. The center does not believe there were any uncertain tax positions at june 30, 2018 and 2017. Additionally, the center has not recognized any tax-related interest and penalties in the accompanying financial statements.
