It was designed entirely to meet the needs of women through every stage of life, from childbirth to menopause. The hospital's quality metrics are compared to those of the nation's premier institutions, and consistently outperform the benchmarks in these comparative measures. Baptist memorial hospital for women has protocols for early identification and treatment of maternal hemorrhages and hypertension in pregnancy and are recognized as regional models. Baptist memorial hospital for women is also a primary teaching site with its own obstetrics and gynecology residency program with 20 approved resident slots through acgme. The beautiful beginnings program provides maternity education throughout pregnancy and 52 weeks after birth through a website or free downloadable app. The site and free app have over 300 topics covering stages of labor, wellness for mom and baby and is disseminated every tuesday with a relevant milestone. A recent expansion of the women's health center allows for more space, timelier appointments for screening mammograms, bone density exams and contrast enhanced mammography. The added space allows four nurse navigators to utilize a resource room with breast cancer care, health, and survivorship information. This library is filled with books, pamphlets and a computer to review genetic risks, care plans and general topics. The women's health center has blossom within and living beyond breast cancer support groups for breast cancer patients. THE COMBINED LOCATIONS OF BAPTIST MEMORIAL HOSPITAL SERVICED 37,759 PATIENT DISCHARGES AND PROVIDED MORE THAN 276,537 OUTPATIENT SERVICES DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED SEPTEMBER 30, 2024. EMPHASIS IS NOW ON OUTPATIENT SERVICES. BAPTIST MEMORIAL HOSPITAL PROVIDES MANY OUTPATIENT SERVICES, WHICH WILL CONTINUE TO CUT HOSPITAL COSTS AND STAYS. MOST PATIENTS PREFER TO RECUPERATE AT HOME, AND WITH THE OUTPATIENT SERVICES PROVIDED AT BAPTIST MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, PATIENTS NOW HAVE THAT OPTION.DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED SEPTEMBER 30, 2024, BAPTIST MEMORIAL HOSPITAL PROGRAM SERVICES PRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESULTS:- THE SURGERY DEPARTMENT PERFORMED 40,817 PROCEDURES AT A COST OF $114,458,076.- THE PHARMACY DEPARTMENT DISPENSED 5,578,014 UNIT DOSES OF MEDICATION AT A COST OF $60,753,129.- THE RADIOLOGY DEPARTMENT PERFORMED 456,917 PROCEDURES AT A COST OF $48,251,367.- THE CARDIOVASCULAR SERVICES DEPARTMENT PERFORMED 20,958 PROCEDURES AT A COST OF $37,307,878.- THE PATHOLOGY DEPARTMENT PERFORMED 2,423,872 PROCEDURES AT A COST OF $38,302,872.CHARITY CARE IS PROVIDED THROUGH INPATIENT, OUTPATIENT, AND COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMS. INPATIENT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO PATIENTS WHO ARE MEDICALLY INDIGENT RESIDENTS OF ARKANSAS, MISSISSIPPI, TENNESSEE, AND OTHER STATES.
