“Section 1: to promote and maintain interest in all aspects of the choral music programs at ds freeman high school, a henrico county public school (hcps). Section 2: to assist the choral director and his/her staff in the implementation of the choral music programs. Section 3: to serve as a means of communication to keep parents and guardians of chorus members informed as to the activities of the choral music programs and the ds freeman hs choral boosters. Section 4: to assist financially in the operation of the choral music programs including fundraising to support choral activities and projects.”

Popcorn sales, gift wrap sales, flower sales, membership/corporate sponsorship drive, merchandise sales, direct donations, 50/50 raffle, restaurant nights, car washes, bake sales, singing valentines, program ads b/c. Conducted by choral booster parent volunteers and chorus students at school d. 30% of time is allocated to fundraising e. Any upfront costs are funded by income generated by previous fundraisers and 5% of expenses are allocated to fundraising f. Helps to enhance choral activities such as competitions, performances and choral endeavors”

“Education/promotion of the dsf choral program a. Producing concert programs, coordination and supplementing costs of biannual spring trip, providing hospitality refreshments at performances, producing senior recognition boards, website and social media communication, monthly choral booster meetings b/c. Conducted by choral booster parent volunteers at school d. 65% of time is allocated to education/promotion e. Funded by fundraising /direct donations and 65% of expenses are allocated to education/promotion f. Promotes interest in music and choral program and provides a means of communication to choral families”
