Project arm-gp step conceived, designed, manufactured and shipped low cost muscle stimulators designed for pediatric surgery to repair anorectal malformations (arms) in low to middle income countries (lmic). Gp step sells and donates frykman-kimble stimulators globally, including shipments to south africa, kenya, china, brazil, ctc. At a landed cost of approximately 300 per stimulator and an estimated reuse rate of 6 surgeries per stimulator (with sterilization after each use), the frykman- kimble stimulator is allowing children, who could otherwise die, the opportunity to be treated and live normal lives. In many cases, without the stimulator, surgeons and hospitals would be unable to assist these children due to cost and market availability of other options.
