Mission

To support the mission of gedco through the development and implementation of long term care at stadium place in accordance with the green house (r) model, the first of its kind in maryland. The harry and jeanette weinberg green house residences at stadium place is an innovative home of up to 49 older adults (62+) who are in need of long-term care or short-term rehabilitative care. The green house residences provide an environment where elders are able to live full and vibrant lives with all of the support they need for daily living.

THE BUILDING HAS RECEIVED THE LEED-SILVER LEVEL OF CERTIFICATION FROM THE U.S. BUILDING COUNCIL AS A SUSTAINABLE BUILDING PROJECT.IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LEASE WITH ACC GREEN HOUSE RESIDENCES, INC. A SUBSIDIARY OF CATHOLIC CHARITIES, WINDEMERE PROVIDED ADVANCES TO CATHOLIC CHARITIES TO SUBSIDIZE STAFF TRAINING AND START-UP EXPENSES FOR THE PROJECT. ACC GREEN HOUSE RESIDENCES COMMENCED OPERATION OF THE GREEN HOUSE(R) RESIDENCES IN APRIL 2012.THIS IS THE FIRST IN THE STATE OF MARYLAND OF THE NEW GREEN HOUSE(R) MODEL OF RESIDENT DIRECTED LONG-TERM CARE. THE GREEN HOUSE MODEL CREATES HOMES THAT PROVIDE AN INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY SUPPORTING THE MOST POSITIVE ELDERHOOD AND WORK LIFE POSSIBLE. TO ACHIEVE THESE GOALS, THE MODEL FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORMS THE PHILOSOPHY OF CARE, THE ARCHITECTURE, AND THE ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE THAT EXISTS IN TRADITIONAL LONG-TERM CARE ORGANIZATION. IT COMBINES SMALL HOMES WITH THE FULL RANGE OF PERSONAL CARE AND CLINICAL SERVICES EXPECTED IN HIGH QUALITY NURSING HOMES. ELDERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO LIVE AS INDEPENDENTLY AS POSSIBLE, AND THEY SET THEIR OWN DAILY ROUTINES.
