Mission and Program Overview

Mission

To be the baggage handling system resource to the industry, our airports and our airlines.

The international association of baggage system companies is an organization committed to improving the airport/airline industry in areas associated with baggage handling systems. The iabsc intends to provide improvements to the industry by playing an active role by means of providing a voice to the baggage professionals, education, implementing standards and working with other industry leaders to ensure the development of baggage systems that will provide economical, safe and secure baggage systems for the airline industry and the traveling public of the future.

“Iabsc is organized as a not-for-profit association with five classes of members: associate, airline, airport, colleague and honorary. The members elect the members of the governing body but do not have the power to approve significant decisions of the governing body. No member shall have any right, title or interest in and to any of the property or assets of iabsc, nor shall any of the property or assets of iabsc be distributed to any member on its dissolution or other termination. No member shall be personally liable for any of the liabilities or obligations of iabsc.”

EACH MEETING FEATURED AN INDUSTRY EXPERT, AIRLINE AND/OR AIRPORT AS GUEST SPEAKERS OR PANELISTS. EARLY FALL OF EACH YEAR, THE IABSC HOSTS A MEETING AT A DESTINATION VENUE.
