The form 990 is prepared by an independent cpa firm and is tied to the organization's financial statements. The form 990 is reviewed by the president and the controller. It is approved and signed by the president. The form 990 is made available to the finance committee and board of directors.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

Directors, officers, and committee members receive and acknowledge receipt of the conflict of interest policy. The policy applies to officers, directors and delegated committee members. Before an item is taken up for discussion and consideration, covered individuals are required to disclose any conflict. Any individual who has a conflict cannot participate in the discussion or vote. The president and secretary are tasked with monitoring for conflicts. The board determines appropriate disciplinary and corrective action for any violations.

Compensation of the president and any additional officers or directors is paid by the related organization food northwest. The executive committee of the related organization food northwest reviews, on an annual basis the compensation of the organization's president and recommends to the board of directors changes that it deems appropriate based on performance and comparable salary survey information. Compensation for all other officers and directors is determined by the organization's president and approved by the board of directors through the budget process.

Employees working within eri share a common paymaster with the related entity food northeast for payroll-related records.
