Primary Exempt Purpose Wisconsin Custom Operators, Inc. exists to educate and support custom farming operators through training, safety education, networking, and advocacy that improve professionalism and strengthen Wisconsin agriculture. Program Service Accomplishment 1: Educational Meetings, Training, and Conferences Wisconsin Custom Operators, Inc. conducted educational meetings, workshops, and conference sessions for custom farming operators and other agricultural service providers throughout Wisconsin. Programs addressed business management, labor and employment issues, transportation regulations, pesticide and nutrient application requirements, farm safety, risk management, collections, service agreements, and changes in state and federal laws affecting the custom farming industry. During the year, the organization held multiple member meetings and educational sessions, including its annual conference and regional events. These programs served members and other agricultural professionals across Wisconsin. The objective of these activities is to improve the knowledge, safety, and business practices of custom operators and to support the long-term viability of the custom farming industry. Program Service Accomplishment 2: Member Communications and Industry Information The organization published and distributed regular communications to members, including newsletters, email updates, social media communications, and website content. These communications provided information on current agricultural issues, industry regulations, equipment and labor concerns, safety practices, legal developments, and association activities. The organization maintained a statewide network of custom operators and agricultural professionals to share information and resources. These communications helped members remain informed and better equipped to operate safe, efficient, and financially sound businesses. The longer-term goal is to strengthen communication and cooperation among custom operators throughout Wisconsin. Program Service Accomplishment 3: Industry Support, Outreach, and Partnerships Wisconsin Custom Operators, Inc. supported the custom farming industry through outreach, sponsorships, and partnerships with other agricultural organizations, equipment dealers, educators, and community groups. The organization provided financial support and promotion for agricultural safety and education programs, including youth tractor safety training and other programs that promote safe agricultural practices. The organization also worked to represent the interests of custom operators and encourage cooperation among members, farmers, and related businesses.
