TEN SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN WERE RESCUED FROM A STATE ORPHANAGE AND WELCOMED INTO THE HOME IN DECEMBER 1999.FAMILY STRUCTURE: ONE LARGE FAMILYCAPACITY: 10 -18 CHILDRENCHILDREN COME FROM STATE HOMES AND FAMILIES UNABLE TO CARE FOR THEM.DIRECTOR: MARIUS RADULESCUSTAFF: APPROXIMATELY 8 STAFF MEMBERSCERTIFIED BY THE ROMANIAN GOVERNMENT.THE BETHEL HOME CLOSED IN 2023.TODAY MOST OF THE ORIGINAL CHILDREN ARE FINISHING THEIR SCHOOLING AND PREPARING TO BECOME INDEPENDENT.EVERGREEN ALSO BELIEVES THAT A GOOD EDUCATION ENABLES CHILDREN TO BECOME PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS, GIVING BACK TO THEIR COUNTRY AND FAMILY THE SAME QUALITIES AND NEEDS THEY HAVE RECEIVED.CHILDREN IN OUR ROMANIAN HOMES ARE INVOLVED IN THE LOCAL SCHOOLS, PARTICIPATING IN ACTIVITIES, SPORTS, AND SUMMER CAMPS.
