“When sufficient, qualified, and trained personnel are avaialable to accomplish the mission, operation, or response, zion volunteer fire department (zvfd) assists or is responsible for responding to emergencies in the zion community.”

“Zvfd is responsible for providing fire coverage, search and rescue of fire victims, providing medical responder personnel, providing severe weather spotters to report damage areas, providing traffic control, and gathering information to control hazardous materials. Zvfd also assists other agencies in extracting trapped victims in vehicles, searching for missing persons on land, evacuating buildings, and any other reconnaissance or medical/clean-up operation requested by emergency agencies.”
