“Income taxes - the association is exempt from payment of federal and state income taxes under section 501(c)(6) of the internal revenue code; however, the association is liable for federal income tax on any profit derived from rental income. The association shall exercise only such powers as are in furtherance of the exempt purposes of the organization as set forth in the internal revenue code section mentioned above. With few exceptions, the association is no longer subject to income tax examinations by tax authorities for the years before 2016.”
