“The florida angus association is a community of ranch families dedicated to breeding, owning and showing the angus breed. Our mssion is to promote the angus breed and foster fellowhip among producers in the region. We fulfill our mission by hosting various events, including board meetings, two field days, and an annual meeting. The field days, typically held in the spring and fall, are often paired with our active junior program, featuring both registered and open angus shows. In april we organize the fjaa (fl jr. Angus association) spring show. It is held at the union county ag education center in lake butler, fl. In june we participate in the eastern regional junior angus show in west monroe, la, and the fca convention & allied trade show in marco island, fl. And in november we host the sunshine state classic inaugural faa angus production sale in dade city, fl. Activities are funded through annual membership fees and sponsors from within the angus community.”
