| Primary purpose of the Eta Theta Lambda Education Foundation is to promote the achievement of higher education among youth in our communities. The Education Foundation acknowledges that many students and especially young men require mentoring in order to be successful. The Education Foundation is committed to the success of our children and supports that success through our annual college tour, mentoring, and Virtual University Initiative programs. The college tour annually allows 80 to 120 students the opportunity to experience College life and make an informed college decision. Approximately 40% of the students participating in the college tour attend one of the visited schools. The foundation also facilitates a series of workshops, designed to increase the students' ability to succeed in college. | $0 | $122,253 |
| The Leadership Development Institute (LDI) serves thousands of young men by providing interactive leadership workshops, cultural and recreational activities, real leadership opportunities, education enhancements, and college awareness. Young men who possess and have demonstrated leadership skills are identified by chapters of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and other civic/community organizations. The organizations then sponsor these young men's participation in LDI. For four days, under the tutelage of recognized community leaders, these young men participate in important leadership development activities. During the Institute the student participants (known as Ambassadors) begin the training and grooming to assume the roles of leaders and productive citizens throughout their communities. Most importantly they join a network of support that is available to assist them in reaching their goals and aspirations. | $0 | $1,739 |
