Activity 2

Taller San Jose walks undereducated, unskilled, and unemployed youth, ages 18-28, out of poverty through a comprehensive and strategically designed education and job training program. Construction education focuses on preparing young adults to enter the construction and building maintenance fields. In sixteen weeks of intensive full time training, interns acquire the work and life skills to obtain a better than minimum wage job in their field. Student services focus on helping interns to mitigate any employment barriers they may have, and employment services focuses on assisting them in obtaining meaningful employment.
