AT THE VILLAGE OF HOPE, THEY RECEIVE HEALTHCARE, COUNSELING, SKILLS TRAINING, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY LOVE. A RECENT ADDITION IS A NEW HEALTH CENTER WHICH PROVIDES HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS FROM RWANDA AND OTHER COUNTRIES THE OPPORTUNITY TO MINISTER TO THE SICK - ESPECIALLY TO CHILDREN WHO HAVE NOWHERE ELSE TO TURN. RWANDA CHILDREN EXISTS TO PROVIDE HOUSING, FOOD, FAMILY, AND HOPE TO AT-RISK RWANDAN CHILDREN IN THE NAME OF JESUS. WITH OVER 3,450 CHILDREN CURRENTLY RECEIVING ACCESS TO MEDICAL CARE THROUGH OUR INSURANCE SPONSORSHIP, WE SEEK TO ENSURE THOUSANDS MORE AT-RISK CHILDREN ACROSS RWANDA POSSESS THE MEDICAL INSURANCE THEY NEED TO LIVE HEALTHY, HAPPY LIVES. QUARTERLY REPORTS INDICATING THE USE OF FUNDS, NUMBER OF PATIENTS TREATED, AND SUPPLIES PURCHASED ARE DETAILED IN THESE QUARTERLY REPORTS. FUNDS ARE DISPERSED ON A QUARTERLY BASIS AND WITHHELD IF THE PREVIOUS QUARTERLY REPORT IS NOT PROVIDED. IN ADDITION, ONE OR MORE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS WILL VISIT ONE OR MORE OF THE CLINICS IN AFRICA ON AN ANNUAL BASIS TO OBSERVE FIRSTHAND HOW THE FUNDS ARE USED. GENERALLY, WITHIN A THREE-YEAR PERIOD, ALL CLINICS WOULD HAVE BEEN PERSONALLY VISITED BY A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS. THESE TRIPS ARE HANDS-ON VISITS WITH INSPECTION OF SUPPLIES AND RECONCILIATION OF PATIENT RECORDS AND FUNDS SPENT. ALL BOARD MEMBERS PAY THIER OWN WAY TO AFRICA ON THESE TRIPS. NO DONATED FUNDS ARE USED TO PAY THEIR EXPENSES.
