“Ccr has two categories of membership. Category i- each family with one or more youth rowers with ccr is a member and has one vote to be exercised by a parent or legal guardian. Category ii- persons interested in supporting ccr who do not have an active rower may become a member upon fulfillment of an application and payment of dues established by the board of directors. Category ii members do not have any votes. Membership power is delegated to a board of directors. Members vote on the board annually.”

“The board of directors are elected to serve at the annual meeting. Parents of dues paying members and alumni are allowed to vote. A slate is generally presented for a yes/no approval by the membership at large.”

“The bylaws restrict certain decisions to approval by the members as a whole, but general management is not restricted for board members.”

“The form 990 is reviewed by the finance and executive committees for approval before submission.”

“The executive committee reviews any potential conflicts of interest and either through ruling of the executive committee or decision by the director themself, a director with a conflict on a specific issue will abstain from discussion or voting.”

Is to provide opportunities for young men and women from the big bend area of florida, enrolled in middle or high school, to participate in the sport of team rowing for the development of rowing skills, physical fitness, self-motivation, initiative, a competitive spirit, and a sense of teamwork. Ccr commits to fostering excellence in rowing, fitness, and character for each team member regardless of inherent athletic talent or rowing ability”
