“The bylaws were revised as of april, 2017 to remove the 1/3 parity requirement for the nomination and election of candidates for the representative assembly. Consideration for vacancies shall be given to, but not limited to, the following factors: clergy, laity, gender, race/ethnicity, age and geographical place of residence.”

“The form 990 will either be provided in hard copy form or electronically distributed to the governing board (representative assembly) for their review before the return is filed.”

“The organization's conflict of interest policy is monitored and enforced by the following guidelines: -conflicts of interest are to be rigorously avoided. -all proposed transactions are to be reported to the board and approved in advance. -the board's records shall demonstrate that the transaction is truly in the best interest of the organization, as provided by a competitive bid or comparative evaluation, and that it does not violate state law. -any person who is a related party to any transaction shall be excused during the process of board deliberation, other than to respond to questions, and shall abstain from voting. -the board shall perform an annual review for potential and known related-party transactions by means of an annual conflict of interest questionnaire to be completed by each board member, officer, and senior management of the corporation, including related entities. -controls shall be established to ensure that normal corporate controls and accountability are maintained. In some cases, this may involve the assignment of another board member to act on behalf of the organization in dealing with the transactions.”

“Annual evaluations are conducted of support staff by coordinator, who is evaluated by personnel committee. Job descriptions are reviewed and revised at least annually.”

“The organization makes its governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and financial statements available to the public upon request.”
