“Families in transition: families in transition was established to serve the educational needs of children in the seminole county school system who are considered homeless. These students "lack a fixed, regular and adequate residence; or have a primary nighttime residence that is temporary in nature; or is a place not designed or used originally as a regular sleeping accomodation for human beings." a school liason has been assigned to work with the district's elementary and secondary school, as well as the community, agencies and shelters in identifying homeless families with school-age children. Contact with the family and school is made and communication is established with the student's school, as well. Other includes many mini-grants and programs which provide educators as well as students with scholarships for further education.”
“The foundation is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. The foundation has been determined by the internal revenue service not to be a private foundation. There was no unrelated business income for the current year.
