Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

The florida association of educational data systems, inc. (faeds) annually sponsors and promotes the florida instructional computing conference (ficc) for educators, educational organizations and vendors to interact and discuss current methods, equipment and software available for data processing. Approximately 300 people attend the conference each year. Each conference has presentation and exhibits of interet to florida educators, administrators and information technology personnel. Faeds also co- sponsors the annual florida education technology conference (fetc).

Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 29

The florida association of educational data systems, inc. (faeds) offers three scholarships per year to individuals who intend to enter into the educational computing profession. The william j. English memorial scholarship, the robert w. Sims memorial scholarship and the faeds teacher scholarship are given to students to further their education. During the fiscal year ended june 30, 2017, faeds gave a total of five 3,000 scholarship grants that were made directly to various colleges and universities for the benefit of selected students to allow them to continue their education in the field of education data technology. APPROXIMATELY 300 PEOPLE ATTEND THE CONFERENCE EACH YEAR. EACH CONFERENCE HAS PRESENTATION AND EXHIBITS OF INTERET TO FLORIDA EDUCATORS, ADMINISTRATORS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PERSONNEL. FAEDS ALSO CO- SPONSORS THE ANNUAL FLORIDA EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY CONFERENCE (FETC).

(FAEDS) OFFERS THREE SCHOLARSHIPS PER YEAR TO INDIVIDUALS WHO INTEND TO ENTER INTO THE EDUCATIONAL COMPUTING PROFESSION. THE WILLIAM J. ENGLISH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, THE ROBERT W. SIMS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AND THE FAEDS TEACHER SCHOLARSHIP ARE GIVEN TO STUDENTS TO FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2017, FAEDS GAVE A TOTAL OF FIVE 3,000 SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS THAT WERE MADE DIRECTLY TO VARIOUS COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF SELECTED STUDENTS TO ALLOW THEM TO CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION IN THE FIELD OF EDUCATION DATA TECHNOLOGY. THE SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS GIVEN ARE AS FOLLOWS: FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY FBO ANDRES VIERA 3,000 FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY FBO ALANA ASCANIO 3,000 UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA FBO GEDEON RICHEMOND 3,000 UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA FBO EMMALI NAYAB 3,000 UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA FBO SEAN LEE 3,000 ------- TOTAL SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS GIVEN 15,000 =======
