Company property, information or business opportunities may not be used for personal gain. Conflicts of interest could arise in the following circumstances: - being employed by, or acting as a consultant to, a competitor or potential competitor, supplier or contractor, regardless of the nature of the employment, while employed with the cfdc. - hiring or supervising family members or closely related persons. - serving as a board member for an outside commercial company or organization. - owning or having a substantial interest in a competitor, supplier or contractor accepting gifts, discounts, favors or services from a customer/potential customer, competitor or supplier, over $50 unless equally available to all company employees. Employees with a conflict-of-interest question should seek advice from the president before engaging in any activity, transaction or relationship that might give rise to a conflict of interest. Board members annually affirm the policy.”

The council has adopted accounting standards codification (asc) 740-10 as it relates to uncertain tax positions. When applicable, any interest and penalties recognized associated with a tax position are classified as current liabilities in the council's financial statements. There were no such interest or penalties for the year ended september 30, 2025. The council is not aware of any activities that would jeopardize its tax-exempt status.”
