“Board of directors are nominated by the overall chamber members. Then a nominating committee of 3 members reviews the information supplied by the candidates and scores the candidates. The nominating committee then presents list of the final candidates for block up or down vote by the board of directors. A member of the board of the directors serves for a three year term. A board member can be re-nominated for a second three year term and if they are approved by the nominating committee and the overall board of directors then they can serve a second three year term. A board member must rotate off the board of directors for one year after they have served their second term. After that one year off the board then they can reapply to rejoin the board of directors during the board's normal nominating process.”

“The form 990 is submitted to the executive director for her review, discussion, and approval. The form 990 is then presented to the board of directors at their next scheduled monthly meeting for their comment.”

“All governing documents are maintained at the chamber's office and are open for public inspection during normal business hours.”

“The "mayor's race" is for an honorary position on the board of directors. The chamber members who decide that they would like to "run" for this honorary position get "votes" by having events in which they raise money to help benefit a 501(c)(3) charity of their choosing. The person who raises the most money for their charity becomes the "honorary mayor of riverview" for one year.”
