Additional Explanations

FORM 990, PART XI, LINE 9:

Change in fmv of interest rate swap -14,101. Lease asc implementation -100,605.

Form 990, Part XI, Line 2C

The finance committee is responsible for the selection, monitoring and evaluation of an independent audit firm and oversight of the audit of its financial statements. There was no change in this process from the prior year.

Financial Statement Notes

PART IV, LINE 2B:

Quest held funds in trust for its consumers of approximately $511,000 and $479,000 at june 30, 2023 and 2022, respectively. Consumer trust funds consist of monthly social security payments due to quest for services performed as well as a personal allowance.

PART V, LINE 4:

During the year ended june 30, 2023, quest recognized funds transferred to central florida foundation ("cff") to establish a permanent endowment fund. This endowment is invested and distributed by cff in accordance with their investment and spending policies. These policies attempt to provide a relatively steady level of funding to programs supported by the endowment, while seeking to preserve and enhance the purchasing power of the endowment assets. The terms of the fund agreements with cff provide, among other things, that distributions are subject to cff's policies. According to the terms of the agreement with cff, under certain circumstances, the cff board of directors shall have the power to modify or eliminate any restriction, limitation, or condition on the distribution of funds, including their use for any specified purposes or their distribution to specific organizations, if the cff board of directors determines that such restriction, limitation or condition becomes by material and significant change in circumstances in effect unnecessary, incapable of fulfillment, or inconsistent with the proper charitable, religious, scientific, literary, cultural or educational uses and purposes of the central florida area.

PART X, LINE 2:

Quest and each of its subsidiaries, except for qvgp, qvd and the side lyer company, have been recognized by the internal revenue service as tax-exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. Qvgp, qvd and the side lyer company are disregarded entities for federal income tax purposes. Accordingly, income earned in furtherance of their tax-exempt purposes is exempt from federal and state income taxes. As of june 30, 2023, with few exceptions, the quest entities are no longer subject to income tax examinations by the u.s. Federal taxing authorities for any tax years prior to june 30, 2020.
