“Each easement is assigned to an easement committee member and they are charged with monitoring the easement including an annual visual inspection. Minimal expenses are incurred in monitoring these easements.”

“Conservation easements held/received are not reported in revenues or expenses. Contributions received to assist in maintaining easements as well as expenditures (if any) are included in program service revenue and expenses.”

“Florida trust for historic preservation does not have audited or reviewed financial statements, but has a compilation of their financial statements performed annually on the tax basis of accounting. Management elects to omit note disclosures to the financial statements. The only works of art, historical treasures, and other similar assets held are the conservation easements noted in schedule d, part ii.”

“The organization holds a restored collection of historic properties in the state of florida, available for public viewing and as an education source. These holdings help to promote the preservation of the architectural, historical, and archaeological heritage of florida.”

“The endowment fund was held as an investment to assist in the preservation and inclusive sharing of the diverse architectural, historical and archaeological heritage of florida. This investment was directly associated with the bonnet house, a house and museum dedicated to historic and environmental preservation, which was under the care of the florida trust for historic preservation. In 2020, there was a restructuring of the organization in which the bonnet house was separated from the activities of the florida trust for historic preservation to continue operations on its own. The requirements of the endowment mandated the investment remain with the bonnet house.”

“Conservation easements held are all on certified historic structures. As a result, no acreage has been included in accordance with schedule d instructions.”
