The mission of the benjamin school is to provide a challenging college preparatory education to a diverse student body in a structured, nurturing community environment. The school motivates students to master the skills of learning, communicating and evaluating choices, and encourages them to grow intellectually, socially, morally, aesthetically, and physically to their fullest individual potential.

The executive committee of the board of trustees reviews and approves the compensation of the head of school. The head of school and the director of human resources review and approve the compensation of the other officers and key employees. The compensation of these employees is reviewed and approved using data for similarly qualified persons in functionally comparable positions at similarly situated organizations. There is contemporaneous documentation and recordkeeping with respect to the deliberations and decisions regarding the compensation arrangement.
