“The Organization publishes the annual North Central Florida Physicians Directory as part of its service to the community. To help offset the cost of producing the directory, advertising is sold to doctors and physician offices. The advertising income generated does not exceed, and in fact is significantly less than, the costs of producing the publication. Since the activity is not conducted with a profit motive and does not result in net income, the Organization has no unrelated business taxable income and therefore is not required to file Form 990-T.”

“ACMS, established in the late 1800s, is a professional and scientific organization representing approximately 2000 practicing and retired physicians, medical residents and medical school students in Alachua, Levy, Dixie and Gilchrist Counties. The Society is the local affiliate of the Florida and American Medical Associations.”
