Activity 2

For the past 15 years, the committee has financially supported local youth sports leagues, generating competition and funding an array of grants, donations and community programs to support this competition. The competition runs throughout the football season, culminating in both the ob youth cheerleading championships and ob youth football championships. In this fiscal year, the committee provided funding and hundreds of volunteer and staff hours to host championships, provided support for a youth football television program and participated in regular "park of the week" presentations to serve the more than 16,000 young football players and cheerleaders annually who participate in the orange bowl youth football alliance.

Activity 3

The obc made a charitable contribution for the renovation of joseph c. Carter park; an existing city park located in one of the most underprivileged areas of ft. Lauderdale. The committee entered into an agreement with the city of ft. Lauderdale to supervise and oversee on a turnkey basis the installation of a new synthetic turf football field, eight lane track, enhanced spectator areas and a new scoreboard at carter park to be used for high school and youth athletic competitions, as well as the community at large.
