Form 990 is reviewed by the board at a regularly scheduled meeting for review and approval prior to filing with the internal revenue service.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

In the event any director or a member of his or her family has a personal or business interest in, or is involved in any way with, an organization with whom the board is considering a grant request or business contract, such interest or involvement shall be disclosed to the board. In such event, the interested director shall neither vote nor participate in the discussion of the matter. The interested director shall be excused from the actual discussion and presence at that portion of the meeting when the matter giving rise to the apparent conflict is discussed. However, any director who is excluded from voting or presence pursuant to this policy may answer pertinent questions of other directors and be present when the interested director's knowledge regarding the matter will assist the board. The minutes of the meeting shall indicate that the interested director disclosed the interest or involvement in the matter being considered by the board, recused herself/ himself from the discussion, and abstained from voting on the matter.

(pca) is required to assess whether it is more likely than not that a tax position will be sustained upon examination on the technical merits of the position assuming the taxing authority has full knowledge of all information. If the tax position does not meet the more likely than not recognition threshold, the benefit of that position is not recognized in the financial statements. Pca has determined there are no amounts to record as assets or liabilities related to uncertain tax positions.

PCA PROVIDES LEADERSHIP TRAINING THROUGH UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA'S J.W. FANNING INSTITUTE, FUNDS EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES, SPORTS, CLUBS, TUTORING, COLLEGE APPLICATION FEES, UNIFORMS FOR REQUIRED ACTIVITIES, AND OTHER FEES ASSOCIATED WITH SCHOOL SUCCESS. PCA ALSO PROVIDES CLASSES OF BUDGETING, CREDIT COUNSELING, TAX KNOWLEDGE, AND SAVING/INVESTING IN THEIR FUTURES. STUDENTS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING FINANCIAL LITERACY ARE PROVIDED FUNDS AND AN INTEREST-BEARING SAVINGS ACCOUNT. AT THE END OF EACH PROGRAM, PARTICIPANTS ARE GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO WIN SCHOLARSHIPS VIA ESSAY SUBMISSION THAT IS CHOSEN BY PCA'S EXECUTIVE STAFF. ALL ACTIVITIES THROUGH YES ARE OFFERED ONLY THROUGH THE SPONSORING HIGH SCHOOL.
