WEOPs purpose is to develop and implement program initiatives and projects to empower women in business leadership and civic engagement.

Advancing Business Opportunities Ventures & Business Enterprises ABOVE a program initiative empowering sole proprietors contractors consultants and women owned small businesses. ABOVE Provides an ongoing calendar of workshops webinars and business labs; mentoring and technical support and customized quarterly federal and private contract training sessions. Program initiatives benefited over 5,650 women monthly online subscribers . The contract training sessions reached over 200 women providing them with the knowledge to bid on private and federal contracts to diversify their revenue streams; WEOPs hybrid and In-person workshops and webinars provided empowered 1,820 women entrepreneurs on business topics. WEOP built an ecosystem of corporations community stakeholders and private sector agencies. The program secures in-kind contributions from volunteers increasing program impact and providing ongoing resources contracts and business opportunities for women to scale their busi$145,000$106,131
WEOPs annual Economic Business Forums promoted leadership civic engagement and business growth opportunities for women entrepreneurs and women of color. During the year we engaged over 320 participants in forums featuring professional speakers legislators and corporate leaders. Forums provided training on business programs corporate and federal contracting AI integration and revenue diversification. The forums also fostered peer-to-peer networking mentorship and collaborations between 175 women-owned businesses; The forums built an ecosystem of ten corporate and private sector partners that continue to provide business resources and opportunities for women. These forums fostered new partnerships increased access to business opportunities and built stronger networks among women business owners demonstrating measurable impact on entrepreneurial growth and community economic empowerment.$15,000$14,000
During 2024 WEOP developed a partnership with four national nonprofit organizations and facilitated a nonpartisan town hall meeting at the Georgia State Capital. The townhall meeting provided 120 women and men with the opportunity to learn about the legislative process and personally meet with their legislators. The town hall meeting provides the knowledge and promote leadership skills to amplify their voices for increased civic participation.
