During the year ended june 30, 2024, the agency determined its property management company had improperly retained tenant rent totaling $62,838. The agency immediately investigated and determined it had been the victim of theft. The agency discontinued using the property management company, engaged a legal firm and pursued collection of the funds. In september 2024, the agency recovered $6,000 from the property management company. The agency recorded accounts receivable of $6,000 and a loss on theft of $56,838 at june 30, 2024.

The changes consisted of an increase in contributions and grants, and decreases in expense accounts related to insurance, payroll, and office expenses.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code, the agency is exempt from taxes on income other than unrelated business income. There was no unrelated business income for the years ended june 30, 2024 and 2023. The agency utilizes the accounting requirements associated with uncertainty in income taxes using the provisions of financial accounting standards board (fasb) asc 740, income taxes. Using that guidance, tax positions initially need to be recognized in the consolidated financial statements when it is more-likely-than-not the positions will be sustained upon examination by the tax authorities. It also provides guidance for derecognition, classification, interest and penalties, accounting in interim periods, disclosure and transition. As of june 30, 2024 and 2023, the agency has no uncertain tax positions that qualify for recognition or disclosure in the consolidated financial statements.

THE OUTCOMES-BASED PROGRAM MODEL PRODUCED STRONG, MEASURABLE RESULTS:-68% OF CLIENTS BOOSTED THEIR WAGES BY AN AVERAGE OF $2.28 PER HOUR, GENERATING A COLLECTIVE ANNUAL WAGE INCREASE OF $71,136.-63% OF CLIENTS IMPROVED THEIR CREDIT SCORES BY MORE THAN 50 POINTS, WITH THE HIGHEST REACHING 735.-CLIENTS COLLECTIVELY SAVED $38,912, WITH 96% ACTIVELY WORKING TOWARD THE GOAL OF SAVING THREE MONTHS' LIVING EXPENSES.CHILDREN'S PROGRAMMING ALSO ACHIEVED SIGNIFICANT IMPACT. AFTER PARTICIPATING IN THE SUMMER ENRICHMENT INITIATIVE, THE PERCENTAGE OF YOUTH PERFORMING AT GRADE LEVEL INCREASED FROM 24% TO 53%.
