“The former henry ford kindergarten serves as the current location of the richmond hill history museum. The museum is open 5 days a week and welcomes visitors seeking knowledge of historical information relating to richmond hill's diverse past that shaped our community. The museum has displays throughout the former kindergarten of local, historical artifacts on loan from local families. Designed to promote richmond hill and educate patrons on richmond hill's rich history, the museum carries items from local artisans and authors as well as children's items. Henry ford's interest in social and agrilcultural improvement in the area is apparent in the displays and influence in the community. Various educational events are held at the museum each year. Tours of the museum are self-conducted; however someone is present to answer any questions. May is preservation month and additional activities are planned each year to highlight the culture and history of richmond hill. Also on the property is the bailey carpenter barbershop, where henry ford received hair cuts during his winter residency in richmond hill. The barber chair purchased by henry ford is on display. It is estimated approximately 916 people are estimated to have visited the museum during events and tours in 2024.”

“Cars & coffee is the first saturday of each month from march - october from 9 am - 11 am at the richmond hill history museumn formerly the henry ford kindergarten building, (11460 ford ave, richmond hill, ga). Cars & coffee is a great place for car enthusiasts to come together for a morning of good conversation, coffee, and fun here, you can meet new friends, swap stories, and get some tips on a project you may be working on. Cars & coffee is open to the public with volunteers interacting with the public and educating them about the historical cars in the area. Approximately 400 people are estimated to have visited and particiapted in these monthly events.”
