The Association Currently consists of approximately 9,625 membership units, consisting of appoximately 6,625 residential lots, some of which are developed and approximately 3,000 timeshare weeks.

Each timeshare owner participates in an annual election for their subdivision or Association representative to the Board of Directors.

IRS990/Desc0Coosawattee River Resort Association, Inc (The "Association") is a Georgia Non-Profit corporation located in Ellijay, GA whose primary purpose is to exercise, on behalf of the members, the rights, powers, and obligations vested in the Association pursant to its Declaration of Convenants, Conditions, and Restrictions on file in records of the Clerk of Superior Court of Gilmer County, Georgia. Such declarations provides for, among other items, the election of a Board of Directors, Management and maintenance of all common areas and elementd, and the collection of member assessments. The Association provides day to day operational adminstration services including ensuring public safety and road and grounds maintenance. It also promotes th esocial welfare of the organization's members. While this entity was formed in 1994, predecessor associations begain in 1978. The Association currently consists of approximately 9,625 membership units, consisting of approximately 6,625 residential lots, some of which have been developed, and approximately 3,000 timeshare weeks. This is a controlled access or "gated" community. There are certain common areas within the Association such as parks recreational facilities, and administrative and maintenance facilities, in addition to approximately 65 miles of paved roads and approximately 170 miles of unpaved roads.
