- to enhance the lives of adults and youth of the neighborhood and area residents by stimulating interest, increasing awareness and knowledge throughout the entire community of african american artists, educators, and musicians from asheville whose cultural contributions to the community historically overlooked. - to support and encourage economically disadvantaged and underprivileged students and families by strengthening cultural awareness, health, learning, well-being and social equity in a diverse population- changing lives, inspiring minds, and building a better community

DELTA HOUSE'S MISSION IS TO ENHANCE AND IMPROVE THE LIVES OF POOR AND UNDERPRIVILEGED ADULTS AND YOUTH BY STRENGTHENING CULTURAL AWARENESS, EDUCATION, HEALTH, WELL-BEING, RACIAL EQUITY, AND SOCIAL JUSTICE IN A DIVERSE POPULATION FOR BUILDING A BETTER DELTA COMMUNITY. ITS VISON TO EXCEL IN EDUCATION, THE ARTS, HEALTH/NUTRITION, AND ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS IN A DIVERSE COMMUNITY FOR BUILDING A BETTER COMMUNITY. OUR CORE PRINCIPLES ARE TO CHANGE LIVES, INSPIRE MINDS, AND TO BUILD A BETTER COMMUNITY FOR ALL PEOPLE.
