Gcba hosted monthly luncheon meetings, which were held to enrich our membership throughout the year. The various speakers provided invaluable insights about the law and our community. We heard from the general counsel for the department of juvenile justice legal services, a past president of the american bar association, a former justice of supreme court of ga, and several congressmen from the ga house of representatives. Our section chairs hosted several events throughout the year for members apart of the family law section, estate planning and probate section, solo and small firm section, and our personal injury section.

The bar also hosted several events to benefit our local community. We hosted our annual holiday party and toy drive. We raised money and collected new toys to donate to kids at children's healthcare of atlanta. We also hosted our annual lead picnic where we honor our local law enforcement officers with a special lunch and door prizes. They were also able to enjoy live entertainment and family fun to include bounce houses. Additionally, the bar held several events in preparation for law day. We held a community service event in which we participated in the annual sip and swine. The proceeds of this event are donated to victims of domestic violence. We visited local elementary schools to participate in their career day and teach them about legal careers, and sponsored a scholarship for a high school essay contest. We also held an axe throwing fundraising events and the proceeds went to benefit safe house. Lastly, we hosted our annual law day banquet where the honorable judge stephen dillard of the georgia court of appeals was our guest speaker.
