Directors Paul Palmer and Paul Palmer, Jr. are father and son. Administrative Assistant Hannah Bassett is the daughter of Board President Steve McDonald.CEO/Administrator Gabriel Iorga and Office Manager Daniela Iorga are brother and sister.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11B

A copy of form 990 will be provided to each member of the board for review and approval before the return is filed. Before it is filed, the board must review the Form 990 and the IRS requires an explanation of the process. The review process can be performed during a board meeting where board members are able to vote to approve the Form. The process and the discussion should be documented in the board minutes.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

Annually each Director, Officer, Advisor, Employee and Volunteer shall complete a conflict of interest disclosure form which shall be reviewed by the Board President, Administrator, or appointed committee.If at any time a Director, Advisor, or committee member becomes aware of a conflict of interest, such information shall be disclosed and reported. Such person shall not attempt to exert his or her personal influence with respect to the matter, either at or outside the meeting.

The organization follows the process described in treasury regulation 4958 (6) (C) for establishing the 'Rebuttable Presumption of Reasonableness' in the review, approval, and documentation of officer, key management, and director compensation. As part of the annual budgeting process, the entire Governing board reviews & approves the entire compensation package of each person based on comparability factors including but not limited to the size of the organization, the geographical location of the organization, and the employee's length of service. The governing body appoints a compensation committee to gather comparable data and to make recommendations to the board. This process is conducted on an annual basis for the following positions:Administrator.

Carmel Hills has been designed to provide comfortable surroundings for a low cost where older people may live in peace and contentment in Christian neighborliness. The mission of Carmel Hills is to provide a retirement community to care for and encourage the Lord's people. We served and provided care for an average of 36 Independent residents and an average of 27 Assisted Living residents during the year. We offer charity care through the Resident Assistance Fund (RAF) where possible.
