Georgians also consistently voice an enjoyment of, and appreciation for, the natural environment. However, georgians, on the whole, are not as well-educated on our states precious places, natural landscapes, and the opportunities to support the stewardship and conservation of these resources. This, in part, creates a lack of urgency around natural resource programs and program funding among political leadership and decision-makers in civic and business endeavors. We will employ a multi-year strategic education campaign to lift georgians awareness of their states resources, threats to those resources, and opportunities to be a conservation voice and steward of those resources is imperative as a foundation to creating the support and pressure for local, regional and state leadership to prioritize conservation.”
