“The chamber's membership consists of local businesses that pay annual dues to be a member of the organization. The members of the board of directors are selected from this membership base by a nominating committee. The committee submits a list of three potential new board members and a slate of officers for the following year to the chamber president each year that is presented to the membership and then voted on by the current board of directors. The executive committee is responsible for carrying out the chamber's annual business plan, adopted by the board of directors at their annual retreat.”
“Prior to august 15th, the nominating committee shall present to the president a slate of three (3) candidates to serve three-year terms, to replace the directors whose regular terms are expiring and shall present to the president a slate of officers to serve one-year terms. The board shall elect a chairman, a chairman-elect, a first vice-chairman, and a second vice-chairman. All officers shall be elected from the board of directors for the ensuing year. Each of said officers shall hold office for a term of one year, or until his or her successor shall be duly elected and qualified. Any officer elected or appointed by the board may be removed by the affirmative vote of a majority of the whole board at any regular or special meeting. The elected officers, by and with the approval of the board of directors, shall establish all committees and task forces deemed necessary to carry out the program of the corporation and appoint a chair for each. Committee appointment shall be at the will and pleasure of the chair, unless otherwise approved by the board of directors.”
