HOWEVER, IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT THE FOUNDATION BOARD AND THE SCHOOL WORK CLOSELY TOGETHER, THE FOUNDATION'S BOARD ENSURES THAT WE HAVE A HIGH DEGREE OF REPRESENTATION FROM THE SCHOOL. THE SCHOOL'S PRINCIPAL IS INCLUDED ON OUR BOARD, AS WELL AS A MEMBER OF THE SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT COUNCIL, THE PRIOR SCHOOL YEAR'S "TEACHER OF THE YEAR, AND THE HEAD OF THE SCHOOL'S "MAGNET PROGRAMS." THE BALANCE OF THE BOARD IS MADE UP PRIMARILY OF PEOPLE WHOSE CHILDREN ARE CURRENT STUDENTS OR GRADUATED FROM THE SCHOOL.
