“It is our mission to continue educating and inspiring students and adults in spartanburg and surrounding areas. Ballet spartanburg's education and community outreach performs in over 28 outreach sites and impacts over 30,000 annually. Outreach programs include: lecture/demonstrations for schools; ballet spartanburg city dance, a summer and after school program, teaches dance for at-risk, inner city youth: school residencies; in and after school dance performances in partnership with the chapman cultural center's muse machine program; performances in nursing homes, hospitals and retirement centers; performances at community events, festivals and public events; free performances of peter and the wolf for all 5k-4th graders in spartanburg co. Schools; scholarship programs; dance, parkinson's dance and movement class, west african community dance class.”
