Neither the organization nor the project is subject to income taxes. The organization is exempt from income tax under internal revenue code section 501(a) as an organization described in section 501(c)(3) and is subject to federal and state income taxes only on net unrelated business income. Management has determined that the organization has no current obligations for unrelated business income tax. Accordingly, no provisions for federal and state income taxes are required. The organization is not classified as a private foundation. Generally, the organization's tax returns remain open for three years for federal income tax examination.
