Mission

The organization owns and operates an apartment community located in camden, sc. The community was organized under section 221(d)(3) of the national housing act (as amended) to provide affordable housing for low income families. The organization is an apartment community containing 50 rental units which comprise 96 bedrooms and is based on typical apartment occupancy limits. Trinity methodist church apartments inc is home to more than 193 persons when fully occupied. The organization provides rental subsidies to renters. The type of subsidy provided to apartment renters by this property is project based sec 8. This subsidy allows the renter to pay 30% of his or her income for rent while the subsidy pays the difference.

The organization has entered into a management agreement with a management agent for day-to-day management of the apartment community as is customary for owners/operators of hud-assisted rental communities. The management contract encompasses the day to day operations of the project including, but not limited to, collection of rents, maintenance of facilities, supervision of staff, and ongoing support for both the owners and tenants as needed in order to establish a safe, sanitary and affordable environment.

THE TYPE OF SUBSIDY PROVIDED TO APARTMENT RENTERS BY THIS PROPERTY IS PROJECT BASED SEC 8. THIS SUBSIDY ALLOWS THE RENTER TO PAY 30% OF HIS OR HER INCOME FOR RENT WHILE THE SUBSIDY PAYS THE DIFFERENCE.
