“The object of rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster: first: the developement of acquaintance as an opportunity for service: second: high ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each rotarian's occupation as an opportunity ot serve society; third: the application of the ideal of service in each rotarian's personal, business, and community life; fourth: the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world of fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service”

“Used fundraising funds to support education through rotary scholarships to local youth. In addition these funds along with contributions were used for various community and world wide projects through direct and financial contributions. Contibutions to rotary foundation used to change lives locally and around the world.”

“The club annually offers scholarships for local high school graduates attending 2 or 4 year institutions of higher learning. These sholarships are both needs and achievment based. Edgecombe county is a nc tier 1 designated county (most distressed designation).”
