“We are an all volunteer organization. We had 6-8 volunteers who help us care for the dogs on a daily basis, now all other functions are conducted by volunteers. We no longer operation a the shelter facility. We took in 114 dogs for the year. We adopted out 124. We show our dogs for adoption at el paso saddle blanket and at petsmart. Some of our fund raisers have been: the annual dog lovers fair, and bark at the park, k9 classic and our own paws-a-palooza. The money raised from these events all goes back in to caring for, spaying/neutering and vetting the many dogs we have been able to take in this year. We have also done several community fair and awareness events where we are educating the public about dog ownership and the commitment involved in owning a large breed dog. We began 2014 with 21 dogs in foster care. We took in 76 and adopted 87 during 2014.”
