UPON SUBMISSION OF A WRITTEN APPLICATION DETAILING THEIR PARENTS DUTY STATUS WITHIN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT SERVICE, THE AGE OF THE STUDENT, THE GRADE ENTERING IN THE FALL OF UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR AND CONTACT INFORMATION, SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED PURSUANT TO A LOTTERY DRAWING HELD AT THE OFFICE OF THE FUND ON THE FIRST SUNDAY IN AUGUST OF EACH SCHOLARSHIP YEAR. SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNTS ARE MADE AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE BOARD OFDIRECTORS.
