The form 990 is provided to the officers of the organization which are also the governing body of the organization. They are asked to review the form and if any questions arise, they are to discuss them with the cpa that prepared the return prior to filing the return. The return is not changed but the entry on the return is explained to the officers.

Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12C

The organization has a written conflict of interest policy that outlines what consists of a conflict of interest and how those issues should be addressed. Any possible conflicts are disclosed as soon as possible and the issue is discussed by the officers of the organization to determine if an actual conflict exists. If a conflict is discovered then the organization as a whole, or the individual with the conflict, will then remove themselves from that situation.

This organization is currently in the design process of a new website so that the governing documents can be posted on that website. Currently the documents are available to anyone upon request. They are kept in the office and can be seen by any interested party upon request. They are also filed with both the internal revenue service and the state of north carolina.
