Provide striving readers one-on-one reading mentoring to build reading skills so students achieve proficiency and gain confidence in their academic success.”

“Cabarrus county career connections day (c4) is an interactive hands-on career development day where students can explore potential careers, interact with local employers and hear dynamic speakers prepare them for the workforce. This event introduces students to internships, apprenticeships, summer employment, part-time and full-time employment opportunities.”

“Cabarrus county teacher of the year program honors those who positively impact their students, schools and communities alike and are teacher leaders at the school and district levels. Through this program, we seek to encourage those that stand out among their peers and inspire others to follow their lead. The four finalists and 1 winner receive cash awards, while each of cabarrus county schools' 44 schools' teacher of the year are recognized with a gift basket.”

“Superintendent choice art awards recognize the chosen piece of artwork from the elementary, middle and high school levels that will be displayed as part of the superintendents permanent art collection. Each level winner is given a monetary award for their selection of this honor. The foundation held a new teacher orientation breakfast for new teachers in cabarrus county. They also provided classroom grants of instructional materials and supplies.”
