Department of defense (dod), other government organizations, and the private sector, delivering education and research programs that present stimulating ideas to foster collaboration and achieve excellence and innovation.

Bringing together government, private sector, and academic expertise from locations around the world to improve the business functional areas of the department of defense and military services, as well as other areas of governmental operations.

Governance Explanations

The executive committee consists of 5 members: the organization's president, the board chairman, the vice chairman and two other members as designated by the chairman or at the chairman's discretion, the vice chairman. The executive committee has and may exercise all the authority of the board of directors in the management of the organization.

All of the organization's directors receive a copy of the draft form 990 prior to filing, with an opportunity to ask questions or make comments about the document prior to its being finalized.

Members of the organization's board of directors are not only required to disclose annually interest that could give rise to conflicts, they are required to do this biannually at each board meeting. In the event of a conflict, the interested director, after disclosure of a possible or existing conflict, shall not participate in any discussion, debate or vote on such matter or matters, except to answer any questions posed by the board, and shall physically recuse himself/herself from any discussion, debate or vote on such matters.
