The nc providers council is a statewide professional organization with a diverse membership of providers of mental health, developmental disability, and substance abuse services and supports. Our primary charge is to promote the overall improvement of the quality of services, and access to services for people with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and addictive diseases who require supports to remain in the community.

“Members are providers of mental health, developmental disability, and substance abuse services.”
“The board of directors shall establish a nominations committee for candidates for the board of directors. This committee shall solicit and accept nominations from the membership with only the voting member from each member organization being able to nominate. No name shall be placed in nominations without the consent of the nominee. The nominations committee provides a slate of candidates for election for upcoming vacancies on the board of directors. The nominations committee chairperson shall present a slate of legitimate member candidates to the members for a vote. The nominations committee is composed of members appointed by the board of directors, other than the president or the most recent past president, from various types of member agencies with experience and skills required to contribute to the purpose of the committee. The committee should be comprised of member representatives from each area discipline (mh/dd/sa) as well as representation of geographical areas. There shall be 5 members.”
