“The organization contracts with a management company to provide office facilities, management, accounting, staffing, and support services. The association's management fee is compared to data from the asae benchmarking series publication - operating ratio report and is approved during the annual budgeting process. A portion of the fee is fixed and a portion is variable on an hourly basis.”

“There are 6 classes or memberships in the corporation. Company member shall mean and include any corporation, partnership or other organization engaged in the information management business providing services to multiple external clients for profit. For the purpose of these bylaws the "information management business" is defined as: a business that provides hard copy records storage and retrieval services, confidential destruction services, imaging services, or digital information storage and retrieval services for multiple clients for profit. Affiliate member shall mean any additional sites or individuals directly associated with a company member. Affiliate members or their representatives shall not be eligible to vote. Corporate partner member shall mean and include any corporation or other entity engaged in the business of offering or supplying goods, services and/or consultation to a company member or the industry. Corporate partner affiliate members shall mean any additional sites or individuals directly associated with a corporate partner member. Corporate partner affiliate members or their representatives shall not be eligible to vote. Associate member shall mean and include any individual, corporation or other entity with a general interest in the industry, and which individual is not, or whose company is not qualified to join as a company member, affiliate member or corporate partner member, or corporate partner affiliate member. Associate members and their representatives shall not be eligible to vote. Honorary member shall mean and include any individual, corporation or other entity formerly engaged in the industry or its allied industries or who has otherwise been affiliated with the industry and whose recommendation to become an honorary member has been unanimously approved by the entire board of directors ("board"). Honorary members shall be exempt from payment of all membership dues and assessments for as long as they remain unqualified to rejoin the association as a company member or corporate partner member. Honorary members and their representatives shall not be eligible to vote.”
