“Restaurants of certain cuisines and help find "lost" automobiles. During the months of july 2013 through june 2014, the safety ambassadors performed the following services: 1,417 safety escorts, 1,571 motorist assistance, 390 mapping guide assistance, 4,187 hospitality assistance, 4,037 hours of patrolling zones, 2,976 hours of patrolling parking decks/lots and 26 incident reports for aggressive panhandling. Also a seven-days-a-week venture, the clean ambassadors, currently numbering eight, improve the quality of life and enhancing the downtown's public image. The clean team also walks and/or rides the streets of the central business district seven days a week picking up litter, cigarette butts and other things beyond description, thereby improving the overall neatness and appearance of the downtown environment. Also highly visible in their red and black uniforms, the clean team plays an essential role in the revitalization of the downtown by performing these essential cleaning services. In addition to maintaining the downtown's core, they provide public communication and assistance to downtown businesses, residents and visitors. During the same 12-month period above, the clean team provided the following services: removed 37,145 lbs. Of trash, 108 hours spent removing graffiti, and 28 hours of weed removal.”
“The primary goal of the strategic partnerships & member engagement is to focus the organization on providing strong customer service in a challenging environment in which the organization has stakeholders with conflicting purposes. With the growth of residents in downtown, the organization has developed staff liaisons for each district to listen to the concerns of residents and merchants. This community organizing work has been successful. A recent survey of 100 downtown residents showed that over 80% were aware of the work dra was doing for their benefit. The organization also hosts an annual meeting and awards ceremony to communicate with the community the impact the organization is making on revitalizing downtown. THEY ALSO ASSIST STRANDED MOTORISTS BY PROVIDING BATTERY JUMPING SERVICE OR CALLING A TOW TRUCK IF NEEDED. ADDITIONALLY, THEY HAND OUT MAPS TO THE CITY, POINT OUT RESTAURANTS OF CERTAIN CUISINES AND HELP FIND "LOST" AUTOMOBILES.
