Abccm doctor's medical clinic, inc (the "clinic")is a nonprofit entity whose sole memeber is asheville-buncombe community christian ministry, inc ("abccm"). The clinic provides access to health care including medical, emergency dental, and pharmacy for the uninsured of buncombe county and is a primary care home for those below 250% of the federal poverty level with no insurance. The clinic is the trusted access point of entry for any low income and uninsured person in buncombe county to receive high quality clinic care, medications, and referral to community resources in order to bridge them to a primary care home. The clinic walks along with each person to navigate the complex system until ongoing care is secured, and the individual and community gap is closed. The clinic is funded primarily through memeber support, donor contributions and grants.

“Provided healthcare access through medical and pharmacy services for uninsured residents, primarily of buncombe county, below 250% of the federal poverty level and medication assistance for those underserved or 'in the doughnut hole.' we provided assistance to 2,943 patients, with 27,188 contacts and 3,141 referrals for labs, radiology, and specialty care. We filled 14,220 prescriptions worth 2,770,753 to support treatment plans. Patients receive primary care and are connected to the area's four community clinics. Most patients had a job - two out of three were employed with no health insurance. We distributed over 2,200 medical equipment items. We offered internships and residency training to 127 students through partnerships with 9 area universities, colleges, and mahec.”
“The clinic is established as a not-for-profit entity and has been recognized as an organization exempt from income taxes under section 501 (c)(3) of the internal revenue code. Financial accounting standards board ("fasb") accounting standards codification ("asc") 740, accounting for uncertainty in income taxes, clarified the accounting for the recognition and measurement of uncertainties in income taxes recognized in an entity's financial statements and prescribes a threshold of more likely-than-not for recognition of tax positions taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. The clinic's income tax returns are subject to examination by taxing authorities for a period of three years from the date they are filed. As of december 31, 2024, years subject to examination are 2021, 2022, and 2023.”
